Аннотація: Theoretical and practical principles of using digital technologies to revive the development of insurance business and optimize insurance risk management in today`s challenges are summarized. It is noted that the digital transformation changes the depth of the basis of interaction between insurers and policyholders. Positive trends in the digitalization of business processes in insurance have been identified and its relevance during the COVID-19 pandemic has been determined. Maintaining the stability of insurance companies, especially in times of crisis and economic instability, requires the development of new sales channels for insurance products. The article is devoted to the study of the use of digital and Internet technologies in the insurance industry, which provide new opportunities in insurance for both policyholders and insurers. Given the economic importance of digital technologies in the insurance business in today`s challenges, it is justified that the continuation of the digital transformation of the insurance industry is the main direction of development of the insurance market of Ukraine in the near future.
