Summary: The article clarifies the fundamental differences between venture financing compared to bank lending, identifies potential investors for the formation of venture capital of the agro-industrial complex. The directions of investment by venture funds of agro-industrial enterprises are considered. The stages of development of agro-industrial enterprises, which can be financed by venture funds, are described. The main methods of direct state regulation of venture activity are clarified. The necessity of expanding the tools of state regulation of financial support of capital investments of agricultural enterprises is substantiated.
