Summary: The article deals with the peculiarities of formation of foreign language competence among future specialists of technical specialties in the context of professional communication. Modern requirements for mastering a foreign language specialist require the improvement of the foreign language training system: the development of new methods and forms of training, the search for technologies for the organization of the educational process that meet modern requirements. Significantly, in the context of our study, there is a learning process using such technologies that help change the role of the teacher and student who become equally responsible for the end result of education. To do this, the educational process introduces the elements of research work, and reinforce the direction of the teacher of independent work of students.
Foreign language is a compulsory discipline of an educational program and should be implemented with the use of both traditional and informational technologies in the educational process.
