Summary: The article is devoted to the role of biological plant protection in ensuring phytosanitary, ecological and food safety. It is emphasized that now there is an urgent need to intensify the further development of basic and applied research within the accepted concept of phytosanitary optimization of agroecosystems, where biological protection plays a crucial role in biodiversity conservation, restoration of biocoenotic regulation, natural environment, environmental protection.
