Summary: The application of symbiotic microorganisms and probiotic preparations as feed additives can significantly increase the production of livestock products because they normalize the bacterial composition of the gastrointestinal tract, have the ability to restore and improve digestion, absorption of nutrients, metabolic processes in the body and increase its metabolism. Feeding farm animals, it is necessary to take into account the level of energy supply of animals, all nutrients and biologically active substances, their importance for animal nutrition and their relationship, excess or deficiency of these substances leads to a number of internal diseases. Two groups were formed to conduct an experiment using a new feed additive Bacillus licheniformis; they were formed on the principle of analogues; each group included 100 broiler chickens of cross Cobb-500 at the age of one day. The feed additive Bacillus licheniformis was fed to the poultry (0.03% of the feed of the main diet). The results of the research state the advantages of the experimental group over the control group. The chickens of the second experimental group had already higher indicators of live weight for the first days of experiment. The difference in live weight increased until the end of the fattening period and at the end of the experimental period, at 42 days of age, the live weight of one head was higher by 8% (235.6 g) compared to analogues of the control group. In the second experimental group, the pre-slaughter live weight was higher by 263.8 g, the weight of undressed carcass was higher by 9.8% in the experimental group. The profit of undressed, semi-dressed and dressed carcasses was higher by 0.3, 1.6 and 1.1%, respectively in the second experimental group. The mass of edible and inedible parts of the carcass is also dominated by the experimental group. This figure is higher by 179 g and 39.7 g, respectively. The total length of the small intestine of the experimental group was 6.4% longer than the control group. The linear diameter of the length of the large intestine in experimental birds of the 2nd group fed by a feed additive is 53.1 cm, it is 6.4 cm, or 13.7% more than the control. The length of the intestine generally differs by 8.3% also in favor of animals of the 2nd experimental group.
