Summary: The agricultural sector is one of the most important in the Ukrainian economy, which can be proved by numerous indicators. The article has analysed such data as the share of agricultural sector in the total export of Ukraine, the share of agricultural sector in total GDP, land use in Ukraine, etc. Despite high potential of the agricultural sector in Ukraine, a lot of challenges hold back an efficient development of agriculture. The aim of this research is to determine the main challenges of the agricultural sector development in Ukraine through PEST-analysis of political, economic, social and technological factors, which influence the agricultural sphere, and also to investigate the main ways of the future development of the agricultural sector.
