Аннотація: Problems of realization of political rights and freedoms of the person and the citizen in modern democracies are considered. Types of political rights and freedoms are characterized; mechanisms and forms of their implementation. The normative-legal and institutional-organizational guarantees of ensuring political rights and freedoms have been studied. The system of political rights and freedoms in Ukraine as a basis of democracy and a means of public control is considered.
