Аннотація: The article considers the main promising areas for improving the bank`s credit portfolio management. Prob-lems of credit portfolio management of Ukrainian banks are identified and ways to overcome them are identified. Carrying out a SWOT-analysis allowed us to identify the weaknesses and strengths of the bank`s credit portfolio, potential threats and opportunities of the internal and external environment and, accordingly, to justify ways to improve the credit portfolio management policy as a whole. The article analyzes the assessment of credit risk using special methods of credit rating, which are a set of assessment parameters of the borrower`s creditworthiness. The use of world experience should be a prerequisite for the formation and improvement of the banking system of Ukraine.
