Аннотація: The question of financial support of business activity of enterprises as a factor of development of enterprise
competitiveness is considered. Existing approaches to the definition of the terms "financial resources", "financial security" are analyzed. The basic principles on which the financial support of the enterprise is based are highlighted. It has been found that the assessment of the competitiveness of small agricultural formations should not only be done because of the impact on it of financial resources, but also take into account all spheres of viability
of agricultural formations. The economic activity and financial condition of farms were reviewed. Data on their quantity, production, sales, involved financial resources, available resources in use are investigated. In order to identify optimal directions of state support, the effectiveness of budget financing was investigated.
