Аннотація: The adaptation process to higher education is a complex, multifaceted phenomenon. The author analyzes the peculiarities of the process of adaptation of first-year students to higher education, since the adaptation period of students is different, depending on their individual and psychological characteristics, the level of readiness for higher education. We have identified the factors influencing the dynamics and quality of the adaptation process, developed a system of recommendations that will be able to improve the effectiveness of law students` learning activities on the basis of structure, features, conditions and dynamics of the process of psychological adaptation to the conditions of study at the university.
