Summary: The publication analyzes the economic development of the Podilsky Krai in the 19th century. Attention is focused on highlighting the very process of reform and development of the main branches of agriculture during this period, such as: cultivation of wheat, rye, oats, buckwheat. The difficult socio-economic situation that prompted the authorities to make a decision on reforming the agrarian sector is highlighted.
