Summary: The paper defines the essence of the concepts of "investment" and "foreign investment", clarifies the factors that affect the dynamics of attracting foreign investment to the main establishment of the prospects for raising
funds in the economy of Ukraine. The volumes and dynamics of inflow of foreign investments on the territory of Ukraine during the last years are analyzed, and also the level of investment activity of the state is investigated and the investment attractiveness is estimated on the basis of world ratings.
